The
luxury
cruise
ship
MS
Silver
Spirit
called
at
Antwerp
for
the
first
time
in
2026.
During
the
maiden
call
ceremony,
the
City
of
Antwerp
presented
the
captain
with
a
commemorative
plaque
and
gifts.
The
ship
was
built
in
2009
at
the
Italian
shipyard
Fincantieri.
In
2018,
it
returned
to
their
dry
dock
to
be
extended
by
15
metres.
To
achieve
this,
the
ship
was
cut
in
two
near
the
swimming
pool.
After
59
days,
the
ship
returned
to
service
with
its
new
length
of
210.7
metres.
In
May
2026,
a
large
part
of
the
MS
Silver
Spirit’s
interior underwent a further refurbishment.
