MS Bolette of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines opened the 2022 cruise season on 22 March. The ship had the honour of inaugurating the new cruise terminal at Het Steen. In 2021, the cruise pontoon at the Noorderterras was already officially put into use. With more than 1300 passengers MS Bolette it is the largest cruise ship to come to Antwerp in 2022. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 22 & 23 March 2022.

MS HANSEATIC Spirit, the newest expedition cruise ship of the German company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises came to Antwerp for the first time in 2022. At the end of 2019 we were able to welcome her sister ship HANSEATIC Inspiration in the city. That ship then started her maiden voyage from Antwerp. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 8 April 2022.

Saga Cruises

MS Spirit of Discovery of the English company Saga Cruises arrived in the city centre of Antwerp on Easter Monday to great acclaim. It was the first time that the 236-metre long cruise ship came to the city of Antwerp. Normally the ship would have been in Antwerp by December 2020, but the coronavirus put a stop to that. The ship can accommodate just under 1,000 passengers. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 18 & 19 April 2022.

Le Champlain
Ponant

Le Champlain is one of six identical expedition cruise ships built for the French cruise company Ponant. The small luxury cruise ships can take 180 passengers on board and are built in such a way that they can also be used as icebreakers for cruises to the poles. Le Champlain is the third sister ship of the series to visit Antwerp. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 26 April 2022.

Europa 2
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises

This year, the Europa 2, the best cruise ship in the world according to the Berlitz Cruise Guide, docked in Antwerp again. The ship has a length of 225 metres and can carry 516 passengers. The ship was built in 2013 at the French shipyard STX Europe in Saint-Nazaire. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 27 & 28 April 2022.

Deutschland
Phoenix Reisen

After 8 years, MS Deutschland returned to Antwerp once more. The classic ship currently sails for the German cruise line Phoenix Reisen. Every year in autumn, 'Semester at Sea' takes over the ship to use it as a floating university. The interior of the ship reflects a Grand Hotel from the 1930s. It was the first time the ship came to Antwerp for Phoenix Reisen. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 29 April 2022.

World Voyager
Nicko Cruises

MS World Voyager is the very first sea cruise ship of Nicko Cruises to visit Antwerp. The call was also only announced in April. Due to the corona measures, the ship is only sailing at half capacity and there are only 109 passengers on board. The ship has a length of 126 metres and can take 200 passengers on board at full capacity. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 14 May 2022.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises' MS Europa is the world's most luxurious cruise ship according to the Berlitz Cruise Guide. In 2021, it was also the very first sea cruise ship to dock at the new cruise pontoon at the Noorderterras in Antwerp. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 4 & 5 June 2022.
