The Bergensfjord was built in 1956 for Norwegian America Line.
In 1980 a fire erupted onboard the ship while it was docked in a shipyard in Greece.
The burning ship was towed outside the harbour after which it capsized and sank.
This ship was berthed in Antwerp in August 1958.
