Vistafjord
Cunard
This
ship
has
a
length
of
191
metres
and
was
part
of
Cunard
Line.
Cunard
Line
was
founded
in
1838
by
Samuel
Cunard.
He
was
one
of
the
first
who
wanted
to
create
a
regular
trans-atlantic
connection
between
England
and
America
(the
New
World).
Cunard
was
sponsered
by
the
English
gouvernement
because
he
had
signed
a
postcontract.
Therefore
all
his
ships
became
RMS-ships
(Royal
Mail
Ship).
Today
Cunard
still
does
some
trans-
Atlantic
voyages
but
not
on
a
regular
base
anymore.
The
cruise
line
is
known
for
its
biggest
oceanliner
in
the
world:
the RMS Queen Mary 2.
This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 31 July 1997.
