Renaissance Cruises
In 2000 this ship from Renaissance Cruises was delivered to the company. The R5 was one of 8 identical sister ship that were built for the cruise line. In 3 years time these 8 ships were delivered. After the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 the cruise market collapsed and made Renaissance Cruises go bankrupt. All 8 ships were sold to other companies. R5 was bought by Cruiseinvest in 2001 and was laid-up until 2006. That year Oceania Cruises bought the ship. Currently (2015) the ship is still sailing for Oceania Cruises as Nautica. The ship has a length of 181 metres and can accommodate 824 passengers. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 15 July 2000.
