was
built
in
Germany
in
1998.
Until
2015
it
was
also
the
only
cruise
ship
that
sailed
under
the
German
flag.
During
the
Olympic
Games
in
London
in
2012
the
ship
served
as
a
hotel
ship
for
the
German
athletes.
In
2015
Peter
Deilmann
Reederei
announced
their
bankruptcy.
At
the
moment
(2018)
the
ship
is
half
of
the
year
sailing
as
MS
Deutschland
for
the
German
company
Phoenix
Reisen
and
the
other
half
of
the
year
as
MS
World
Odyssey
for
Semester
At
Sea as a floating university.
