Deurganckdoklock - Largest lock in the world

the
construction
site
of
the
new
Deurganckdoklock
in
the
Port
of
Antwerp
was
opened
for
the
public
during
the
event
'Voeten
in
de
Sluis',
or
'Feet
in
the
Lock'
in
English.
It
was
the
last
time
people
could
walk
through
the
lock
before
it
was
flooded
with
water.
The
Deurganckdoklock
is
located
at
the
end
of
the
Deurganckdock.
From
2016
the
lock
will
connect
the
dock
with
the
Waaslandhaven.
The
lock
was
the
largest in the world when opened. Later it was renamed ‘Kieldrechtlock’.
