FFH 336 - HMCS Montréal in Antwerp
06>12/11/2017 - HMCS Montréal FFH 336
The Navy frigate HMCS Montréal of the Royal Canadian Navy was docked at Quay 19 in Antwerp for seven days at the beginning of November 2017. The ship is one of twelve frigates from the Halifax-class that were built between 1988 and 1992. HMCS Montréal was docked in Antwerp for the remembrance of the Battle of Passchendaele during the First World War. The battle is very important to the Canadians due to the large number of Canadians victims. Because of that they visited Antwerp with one of their frigates for the 100th birthday of the battle.
