The AIDA (later AIDAcara) is the very first ship of the AIDA-fleet, and the second ship of AIDA Cruises that comes to Antwerp. With building and delivering the AIDAcara in 1996 the 'Clubship-concept' was born. In the beginning it was waiting to see if this free-to-do concept was going to do well with the cruisepassengers. But it was a big succes. In 2002 and 2003 two new ships were launched: the AIDAvita and AIDAaura. With the delivery of these two ships the name AIDA was changed to AIDAcara. Last year the AIDAlbu had the honour to open our cruise season, this year the AIDAcara had it. This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 29 March 2011.
